Jack McAfee never saw racing as anything more than a hobby although he did enjoy racing around the track and almost made it a career, it is also where he fell in love with Porsches. At the young age of 29, he was the youngest owner of a Porsche-Volkswagen dealership situated in California in 1953. He enjoyed the comraderie of the races as well as the mutual love of sportscars. Rubbing elbows with some of the most influential drivers of all time, Jack McAffee was well known in the racing community and was introduced to Porsche by Johnny Von Neumann, "America's first Porsche legend," which influenced his entire life.
