Made to race, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 GT Edition was inspired by Stirling Moss and his win at the Mille Miglia in 1955, the "722" referring to his 7:22 a.m. start time driving the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR. The 722 GT is light weight, with extreme power and excellent handling to provide a smooth racing experience, very few of these cars were offered to the public for those who could afford the price tag of over $1.2 million. The Scalextric model replica of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 GT has intricate details on the body as well as in the interior.
