Students are lab technicians to assist investigators by examining crime scene evidence, and performing activities, including a presumptive blood test, and identifying a blood type sample, for comparison to the suspects samples. For hands-on learning, the kit has materials for 10 groups of students, including blood typing trays, cotton swabs, cloth, ethanol, blood detection reagent, simulated blood samples, and antiserums. The kit has a teachers manual and student study guide copymasters for instructional use, and a material safety data sheet (MSDS) packet for product information and handling procedures. The kit is suitable for age 13 and older with adult supervision, and meets the requirements for Department of Transportation (DOT) small quantity exemption 173.4, and conforms to 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 173.4 for domestic highway or rail transport only.
